LRI has an integrated, dual mission of innovative business research and industry outreach necessary to realize the Institute’s overarching goal of helping businesses and industries adapt to the ever-changing technological landscape.
The LRI’s research builds upon and leverages decades of NJIT experience and intellectual capital in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, operations management and decision analytics, organizational behavior and business data science. In addition to conducting business and management research, the LRI maintains close collaborations with academic and industrial communities, regional economic leaders, and government agencies.
Novel generative AI methodologies, being currently evaluated for their applicability and potential for unlocking new revenue streams in commercial environments, are viewed as central to these efforts.
PaperBasket: Assessing Novelty and Integrity of Research
Whenever a research paper goes through the review process, the most difficult question to answer is whether the paper is novel. A reviewer does not have time to conduct an independent literature review and ends up trusting the authors who claim novelty for their work. PaperBasket automatically generates an independent literature review for each submission, providing the reviewer with a powerful tool to guide acceptance decisions.
