The Fintech Group is a joint venture between the Leir Research Institute and the Institute for Data Science with a focus on enabling NJIT students and faculty to collaborate with firms in the financial technology industry to promote our educational and research goals.
What is Fintech?
Fintech is a new and rapidly growing industrial sector whose aim is to provide innovative alternative solutions to traditional financial products and services.
Specific focus areas include the automation of traditional wealth management processes, peer-to-peer loan, insurance, and funding networks, digital currency design, and the modernization and automation of banking services, among many other applications.
How can I engage with Fintech at NJIT?
This group serves as an extension of the new undergraduate and graduate degree and certification financial technology programs in the Martin Tuchman School of Management. We host regular seminars and roundtable meetings to ensure NJIT remains active in the financial technology community.
In addition, the Fintech Group seeks to engage NJIT students and faculty in consulting relationships with financial technology industry participants.
