The SQRLab is a fundamental to translational research laboratory investigating the various sensory and motor defects inflicted as a result of a traumatic brain injury, including concussions. Primary concentrations include vision, oculomotor, vestibulo-oculomotor reflex, and balance. The lab utilizes start-of-the art portable technologies such as virtual reality, eye-trackers, functional near-infrared spectroscopy, and force plates for fundamental and clinical research, while continuously refining methodologies, tools, and devices that can be used by clinicals and patients alike. SQRLab empowers the next generation of engineers and researchers to gain hands-on experiences while making meaningful contributions to the scientific and medical communities.
