CISE Large Projects Program Webinar
The National Science Foundation CISE Directorate has issued a new solicitation for CISE Core Programs: Large Projects. This solicitation seeks to fill a gap between the CISE Core Medium projects, and larger-scale projects such as Expeditions in Computing. It invite proposals on bold new ideas tackling ambitious and fundamental research problems within scope of one or more CISE division core programs, and that require large research teams with combined contributions to computer and information science and engineering research where the impact of the results will exceed the sum of each of their individual contributions. Participating Core Programs include Computer and Network Systems (CNS), Computing and Communication Foundations (CCF), and Information and Intelligent Systems (IIS). Teams should consist of two or more investigators (PI, co-PI(s), or other Senior Personnel) with complementary expertise. Investigators are strongly encouraged to come together within or across disciplines and/or institutions and combine their creative talents to identify compelling, transformative research agendas. Investigators are especially encouraged to seek out partnerships in a wide class of institutions that together produce innovative approaches to the proposed research. Proposers are invited to submit proposals with total budgets from $3,000,000 to $5,000,000 and durations up to five years.
