Dr. Azizi joined NJIT in 2018 as an assistant professor with a primary appointment in the School of Applied Engineering and Technology and a secondary (joint) appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Prior to this, he was an assistant professor at Michigan Technological University and an R&D engineer at Pratt & Whitney Canada Inc., Longueuil, Canada, where he designed and developed control and fault diagnosis systems for jet engines. His research has been focused on decentralized control and fault diagnosis techniques in power systems, microgrids, and mechatronics. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ASEE.
