Support

U-RISE Scholar is eligible to receive 3 years of financial support that includes:

• Tuition support plus mandatory fees*
• A biweekly stipend, as defined by Federal standards*
• Support for summer research experiences including housing, meals, and travel
• Support for research supplies to each Trainee’s mentor
• Travel support for approved scientific meetings

*Stipend levels, as well as funding amounts for tuition and fees and the institutional allowance are announced annually in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts, and are also posted on the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) webpage.
