Support

U-RISE Scholar is eligible to receive support that includes:

• Tuition support plus mandatory fees
• A stipend, as defined by Federal standards –

Stipend levels, as well as funding amounts for tuition and fees and the institutional allowance are announced annually in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts, and are also posted on the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) webpage.

• Support for summer research experiences
• Support for research supplies to each Trainee’s mentor
• Travel support for approved scientific meetings
