The U-RISE at NJIT is a research training scholarship program that provides individualized mentorship with a matched faculty member, didactic training within your academic curriculum, research for credit, year-round research training activities and a U-RISE support team dedicated to student success and transition to graduate school. Students interested in biomedical research are encouraged to apply spring of their freshman year. Three new students are appointed each Fall.
This program is an Undergraduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE) supported by the National Institute of General and Medical Sciences (NIGMS) of The National Institutes of Health (NIH). It is a scholarship program with the overall goal of training undergraduates who are interested in pursuing a PhD and a career in biomedical research.
