The Center for Community Systems’ multidisciplinary team consists of highly skilled, professionals with broad and varied areas of expertise and experience.
Leadership
Mr. Vroom possesses 30 years of professional experience in the environmental and infrastructure field in both the public and private sectors. He has managed millions of dollars worth of projects, studies, and programs. Sean has created educational forums, and developed and deployed tools that assist regional and local governments plan and develop sustainable and resilient communities. He also has extensive experience in the areas of project concept development, site assessments, environmental planning and permitting, federal and state environmental and laws and regulations, federal and state funding, brownfields redevelopment, and stakeholder engagement. Sean holds a BS in Environmental Planning and Design.

Ms. Bruno possesses over 16 years of experience in environmental investigation, assessment, and remediation. Her responsibilities include helping communities navigate the brownfields regulatory process; interpreting technical and scientific documents to communities; conducting community workshops and webinars; creating site redevelopment strategies; providing health risk information and recommended safeguards; and developing easy-to-understand tools and guidance on technical and regulatory issues. Her previous experience at private consulting firms includes providing technical oversight of remedial investigations, development of conceptual site models, aquifer characterizations, risk assessments, investigation of new groundwater resources, and wellhead protection strategies. Cailyn holds a BS and MS in Geology, and is a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional and a New York Licensed Professional Geologist.
