Air Force Fiscal Year 2027 Young Investigator Program (YIP)

The Fiscal Year 2027 Air Force Young Investigator Research Program (YIP) intends to provide support for individual scientists and engineers who have either received Ph.D. or equivalent degrees post 01 April 2019. These scientists and engineers must have shown exceptional ability and promise for conducting revolutionary basic research. The program’s objective is to foster creative and revolutionary basic research in science and engineering; enhance early career development of outstanding young investigators; and increase opportunities for the young investigators to recognize the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force missions and related challenges in science and engineering. We seek unclassified proposals from qualified and responsible individual applicants in the research areas of interest identified in the most recent Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) titled “Research Interests of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research” published on Grants.gov at https://simpler.grants.gov/opportunity/de479d2e-aad1-466a-acc3-d5d11cf7918d.
